Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Serve Volleyball Camp combines engaging games, creative skill-building activities, and tons of positive coaching to create an unforgettable summer experience.

What is Summer Serve?

Summer Serve is 495 Legacy Volleyball’s high-energy summer volleyball camp designed to help athletes build skills, confidence, and game IQ in a fun, structured environment. Players learn through game-based drills, skill stations, and live play — because kids get better faster by playing, not standing in lines.

Who is Summer Serve for?

Summer Serve is designed for elementary and middle school athletes:

  • Beginners who are brand new to volleyball
  • Players with Smashball or clinic experience
  • Athletes preparing for middle school, high school, or club volleyball

Players are grouped by age and skill level so everyone is appropriately challenged.

Who coaches Summer Serve?

Summer Serve is led by teachers, trained coaches, CPR-certified adults, and high-school/college athlete mentors who emphasize:

  • Long-term athlete development
  • Confidence and decision-making
  • Game-based learning
  • Positive coaching

We focus on helping athletes develop skills they’ll use for years — not just for one week of camp.

What does a typical camp day look like?

While schedules may vary slightly, a typical full-day camp includes:

  • Morning meeting & dynamic warm-up
  • Skill station rotations (serving, passing, setting, attacking)
  • Team challenges & small-sided games
  • Lunch & supervised free play
  • Competitive scrimmages
  • End-of-day debrief & reflection

Our format keeps athletes moving, learning, and engaged all day.
