U13/14 Team Coaches

Declan Hunter – Co-Head Coach

Declan Hunter began playing volleyball as a freshman at Albert Einstein High School, inspired to join because many of his friends were playing. He quickly became a standout, earning team MVP honors two years in a row and leading the county in average kills per game during his junior year. Coach Declan played for the MVP from his sophomore through senior years, where he contributed to several gold medal finishes at tournaments. As a coach, he is passionate about helping players grow their love for the game while improving their skills. Coach Declan strives to create an environment where athletes not only become stronger competitors but also build a lasting connection to the sport.

Ella Nam – Co-Head Coach

Ella Nam began playing volleyball in 2018 and went on to become a standout at Clarksburg High School. She was a four-year member of the varsity girls’ team and a two-year member of the coed team, serving as captain during her junior and senior seasons. In her senior year, she helped lead the girls’ program to its first-ever division championship in school history. At the club level, Coach Ella competed with MEVC for two years, winning multiple tournaments and gaining valuable experience at the competitive level. As a coach, she is passionate about helping younger athletes develop both their skills and their personal growth. Coach Ella sees coaching as a way to give back to the volleyball community and the coaches who supported her as a player, while also continuing to learn more about herself in the process. Outside of volleyball, Ella is pursuing a degree in Public Health Science at the University of Maryland.

U17 Team Coaches

Meledje (Mo) M’Baye – Head Coach

Coach Mo began his volleyball journey at John F. Kennedy High School, where he played from 2019 to 2023 and helped lead the coed team to two state championships. In his junior year, he joined MVP gaining valuable club-level experience. Following graduation, he played collegiate volleyball at Marymount University before transferring to Montgomery College. There, he is studying Business Administration. Mo’s coaching career includes serving as an assistant coach for MVP’s 15s team, Platform Volleyball Club 14s team, and Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School girls’ Varsity team.

Christian Quico – Assistant Coach

Christian Quico began playing volleyball four years ago, introduced to the sport through family events that sparked his passion for the game. He went on to play at Rockville High School, where he helped his team won the 2025 Montgomery County Co-ed Championship. Coach Christian competed with MVP for three years, winning multiple tournaments and gaining valuable experience at the competitive level. Coach Christian is dedicated to pushing players to reach their full potential, both on and off the court. He finds the most joy in seeing athletes grow in confidence, skill, and character through the game of volleyball.

U18 Team Coaches

Noah Aurdos – Co-Head Coach

Noah Aurdos began playing volleyball in 2017, inspired by his sister’s success in club and high school varsity volleyball. He had a decorated high school career. He won two Montgomery County Boys Varsity championships. He earned both All-County First and Second Team honors. He served as Captain in his Junior and Senior years. In his senior year, Coach Noah was named Montgomery County Player of the Year. At the club level, Coach Noah spent four years with MVP and two years with The St. James, highlighted by a 5th place finish in the 18 Open Division at Nationals. Watching players better themselves both on and off the court is Coach Noah’s favorite part of coaching. Outside of volleyball, he enjoys cooking. He also plays on the Chinese Youth Club’s 9-man team and lifts weights. A fun fact about Coach Noah is, unlike the rest of us, he does not like bacon!

Guy Saltsman – Co-Head Coach

Guy Saltsman began playing volleyball in 2020 as a freshman at Walter Johnson High School. He played four years of varsity volleyball. He served as Captain for two seasons. He led his team to consecutive appearances in the Montgomery County Boys’ Varsity Championships. Coach Guy now competes for the University of Maryland Men’s Club Volleyball Team. He is a three-year member and two-year Captain there. Coach Guy has built his competitive experience through school and collegiate play. He enjoys coaching because it allows him to see players improve. He also learns from them, making him a stronger coach and player. Outside of volleyball, Coach Guy loves cooking—especially sushi—and played basketball for 10 years before switching to volleyball.

Joseph Morris – Assistant Coach

Joseph Morris began playing volleyball in 2020 as a freshman at Walter Johnson High School. He played four years of varsity volleyball. He served as Captain for two seasons. He led his team to consecutive appearances in the Montgomery County Boys’ Varsity Championships. Coach Joseph is a junior junior at Belmont Abbey College, competing at the NCAA Division II level in men’s volleyball. As a versatile and dynamic setter, Joseph brings high-level playing experience and a strong understanding of the game. Passionate about teaching the fundamentals and advanced techniques, he is excited to share his knowledge and help athletes develop their skills on the court.
