Meet Our Coaches for the 2026-2027 Season

We are incredibly excited to announce the staff leading our athletes during the 2026–2027 club season! Meet our coaches and read their full bios!

Building the 495 Legacy

At 495 Legacy, coaching is about more than preparing athletes for the next tournament. We want our players to leave the season with better volleyball skills, a stronger understanding of the game, greater confidence, and an appreciation for what it means to be part of a team. That takes coaches who care about development as much as results.

U14 — Taeshawn Benjamin & Christian Quico

Our U14 team will be led by Head Coach Taeshawn Benjamin and Assistant Coach Christian Quico. Coach Taeshawn was a four-year varsity player and two-time captain at Paint Branch High School and now competes with the Johns Hopkins University Men’s Club Volleyball Team. He also coaches Paint Branch Boys Varsity and brings experience coaching club volleyball. Coach Christian played at Rockville High School, helping the team win the 2025 Montgomery County Coed Championship, and competed with MVP for three years. Last year, Coach Christian coached our U17s team and is looking forward to helping young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game.

U16 — Declan Hunter & Khoi Tran

Our U16 team will be led by Co-Head Coaches Declan Hunter and Khoi Tran. Coach Declan was a two-time MVP at Albert Einstein High School and led Montgomery County in average kills per game during his junior year. He also competed with MVP and is passionate about helping players develop both their skills and connection to the sport. Coach Khoi was a four-year varsity player and captain at Paint Branch High School and competed with MVP. He is also the founder of BBQuads, a local grass volleyball organization, and enjoys helping athletes develop into confident, cohesive teams.

U17 — Anthony On & Luis Santos

The U17 team will be led by Head Coach Anthony On and Assistant Coach Luis Santos. Coach Anthony is the Head Coach of Wheaton High School Boys Varsity Volleyball and played club volleyball at Towson University. He is also an experienced 9-man competitor and believes volleyball is a powerful way to build leadership, character, and community. Coach Luis helped Albert Einstein High School complete an undefeated season and win the 2025 Montgomery County Coed Championship. A former 495 player, Coach Luis brings experience at libero, setter, and outside hitter.

U18 — Josh Dang

Our oldest athletes will be led by Head Coach Josh Dang. Coach Josh joins 495 Legacy for his first season and brings both high-level playing experience and previous club coaching experience with Stars Volleyball Academy. He is a senior at the University of Maryland and competes with the University’s Men’s Club Volleyball Team.

More Than Volleyball: Developing Coaches and the Whole Athlete

In addition to our team coaches, two coaches will work across the 495 program to help support player and coach development.

Timothy Sargent — Conditioning Coach

Tim Sargent will serve as 495 Legacy’s Conditioning Coach. A National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Coach Tim brings strength and conditioning expertise along with an extensive volleyball background. Coach Tim will help 495 athletes build the strength, movement skills, confidence, and healthy training habits that allow them to perform at their best throughout the season.

Noah Aurdos — Technical Director

Noah Aurdos will serve as 495 Legacy’s Technical Director for the 2026–2027 season. Noah brings an exceptional playing and coaching résumé to the role. As Technical Director, Coach Noah will help support consistency in how volleyball is taught throughout the 495 program while working with coaches and athletes to continue raising the level of play in our gym.
