Tryout Registration Is Open!
Join 495 Legacy Volleyball for the upcoming club season! Our tryouts are designed to give every athlete an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, compete, and learn more about the 495 Legacy program.
Players should register in advance and arrive at the designated check-in time for their age group.

U17 & U18
9:45am: Check-In | 10am – 12pm: Tryout | 12pm – 12:15pm: Parent Meeting
U15-16
11:45am: Check-In | 12pm – 2pm: Tryout | 2pm – 2:15pm: Parent Meeting
U14
1:45pm: Check-In | 2pm – 4pm: Tryout | 4pm – 4:15pm: Parent Meeting
Frequently Asked Questions
- U14: If you were born after July 1, 2012 and have NOT started 9th grade (i.e. currently in 8th grade.)
- U15/16: If your birthday is between July 1, 2010–June 30, 2012.
- U17: If your birthday is between July 1, 2009–June 30, 2010.
- U18: If your birthday is between July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009.
- Your CHRVA membership card (required to participate)

A brief parent meeting will be held for each age group. We will provide information about the upcoming season, team expectations, practice schedules, tournament participation, club fees, and the team-selection process.
Yes. We will hold a makeup tryout on Sunday, August 30 at 1-3pm at Reckord Armory at the University of Maryland (4490 Rossborough Ln, College Park, MD 20742) for athletes who are unable to attend the primary tryout.
If your athlete cannot attend either tryout date, please contact us as soon as possible at sara@495volleyball.org to discuss alternative evaluation options.
Returning athletes, enter your 2025-2026 CHRVA membership number. If you are new to club, purchase a Junior 1-week membership. Bring CHRVA membership card to check-in.
